Good to know
Frequently asked questions.
What is a free strategy session?
A 30-minute phone or Zoom call with a licensed Australian financial adviser to talk through your retirement goals and current financial position. No sales pitch, no upsell.
Who is this for?
People who are preparing to structure their wealth for retirement and want a direct introduction to a licensed local financial adviser.
Does the session cost anything?
No. The 30-minute strategy session is free. We may receive a referral fee from the adviser, but you never pay us anything.
How long is the session?
About 30 minutes, over Zoom or phone, whichever you prefer.
What happens after the session?
The adviser will talk you through possible next steps. There's no pressure to become a client, and the adviser will only follow up if you ask.
Does Meet My Adviser give financial advice?
No. We only make the introduction. Any advice comes from the licensed adviser you speak with.
How do you choose my adviser?
We match you by postcode and by how you'd like to meet (phone, Zoom or in person) with a licensed adviser who works in your area and has time for new clients. Before we introduce anyone, we check they're listed on ASIC's Financial Advisers Register.
How does Meet My Adviser get paid?
The adviser pays us a flat fee for each booked introduction. It's the same whatever you decide after the call, and you never pay us anything.
Does the referral fee affect the advice I get?
Financial advisers in Australia are legally required to act in your best interests. The introduction fee doesn't change that duty.
Can my partner join the call?
Yes. Couples are welcome on the same call.
What if I'm not happy?
Call or email Seaton directly on 0479 180 397 or Seaton@MeetMyAdviser.com.au and we'll sort it out, including finding you a different adviser if the first one wasn't the right fit. A complaint about advice goes to the adviser: every licensed adviser must have a complaints process and belong to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
What happens to my details?
We use them only to arrange your introduction and share them only with the adviser we connect you with. We never sell your information. Read our Privacy Policy.
